According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), UDA has fielded candidates in areas perceived to be strongholds of Ruto's campaign partners.
Among Ruto's key campaign he has taken the battle to their door steps are Musalia Mudavadi (Vihiga, Kakamega), Moses Wetang'ula (Bungoma, Trans Nzoia), Amason Kingi (Kilifi), William Kabogo (Kiambu) and Mwangi Kiunjuri (Laikipia).
