An elderly couple, Kenneth and Phyllis Zer, died in a house fire in Missouri, USA.
The couple had been married for 63 years when they met their untimely death. They were both 84 aged years old.
According to Daily Mail, a fire started on the bottom floor of the couple's home, eventually working its way upstairs to the two bedrooms.

Kenneth had been trying to help his wife, who had fallen in the bathroom, out of the house, which was on fire when dispatchers encouraged him to get out as, but he refused to help his wife, and shortly after, they were trapped.
Firefighters made it through thick smoke to the bedroom but had to retreat when the floor began collapsing as they searched for the couple, the chief said.
He said the firefighters asked his father, Kenneth, to leave the burning house, but he refused.

The lovebirds had lived in the house for 18 years when they passed away.
Elsewhere, a couple, Jackson Mawira and Nancy Kendi died in a grisly road accident moments after reuniting.
The 28-year-old boda boda rider had, on the fateful day travelled to his in-law's home to fetch his wife and child after they buried the hatched and settled their differences.
They were excited to finally reunite and live together again, and they all hopped on his boda boda, ready for the journey back to their home.
On the motorbike, Mawira was the rider while his wife was seated behind him holding their son.
Unfortunately, as they got closer to Keria market between Nkubu and Chogoria towns, they met a politician's entourage.
As he was overtaking one of the vehicles, the boda boda collided head-on with a lorry that was carrying the supporters of a Jubilee aspirant Shadrack Mwiti. Mawira died on the spot, while his wife was pronounced dead after his arrival at the hospital. The couple's one-year-old son, who landed in a ditch after the crash, sustained injuries and miraculously survived.
