A Nairobi man lost in court after he was ordered to sell his house in the upmarket Westlands, Nairobi, and share the proceeds with his ex-lover.
As The Standard reports, the two Britons met in 1999 before falling out years later after one party accused the other of infidelity.

Bank Ordered to Pay Woman KSh 140k after Failing to Compensate Her KSh 17k on Time
Baghwangaji Madhivani was married to Maria Burton and were both living in Kenya before she relocated to the United Kingdom in 2015 after accusing him of cheating on her.
Upon moving from Kenya, the woman remarried, prompting the man to seek court intervention regarding the joint ownership of their property.
However, the appellate court sitting in Nairobi sided with the woman arguing that she was entitled to the man's property given that, even if she did not contribute anything, she was listed as a trustee in exchange for love and affection.
Earlier, the High Court had ruled in favour of Madhivani before Burton appealed the case.
She argued that, among other things, she contributed to the developing of the house, paying the wages for the domestic workers and paying for their international holidays.
She also argued that she bought the curtains for the house and that it was Madhivani who made her resign from her job in the UK before relocating to Kenya.

The Nairobi Expressway is slated for commissioning by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, May 14.
However, the daily reported that it would only be dry tests before the multi-billion project becomes fully operationalised.
The expressway is one of the president's legacy projects ahead of his retirement in August this year.
On Sunday, May 8, the highway played host to the inaugural Uhuru Classic Nairobi City Marathon which was flagged off on Lang'ata Road.
The expressway will be a preserve for four-wheeled motor vehicles only.
A gazette notice published in 2020 singled out motorcycles, bicycles, scooters and tuk-tuks as vehicles that will not use the highway.

Also prohibited as per the notice are pedestrians, wheelbarrows, handcarts and skaters.
Depending on the size of the vehicle and the distance covered, motorists using the road will have to part with between KSh 100 and KSh 1,550 in toll charges.
The ministry of transport specified that all the transactions would be in dollars, the aim being to prevent the losses incurred in the currency exchange.
A special toll payment card will therefore be a prerequisite for the motorists using the road.
The publication delved into the intrigues of choice of running mates for the leading presidential contenders as the deadline set by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) beckons.
The candidates have until May 16 to name their running mates; the front runners are keen on their choice of their potential deputies given the magnitude of the matter, which tends to make or break their presidential bids.

15-year-old Memusi Sankok allegedly took his own life using his father's gun on Monday, May 2, but the investigators uncovered inconsistencies in the incident.
The initial postmortem conducted on the deceased on Tuesday, May 3, indicated that Memusi's death was caused by a bullet that entered through his chin and exited at the top of his head.
However, due to the inconsistencies, homicide detectives said the second autopsy will help ascertain whether the young Sankok took away his life as claimed or if someone else was involved.
This time around, the detectives directed the postmortem to be conducted by a government pathologist for forensic analysis.
Following the turn of events, Memusi's family has been forced to cancel the initial burial plans that were scheduled for Tuesday, May 10.
The homicide detectives had asked Sankok and his family to record new statements due to the conflicting reports.
