One of the dailies also highlighted a forensic analysis pointing at tampering with the data in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)'s servers.
The daily highlighted the findings of a forensic audit of the IEBC servers which are said to have been accessed by the Venezuelan trio.
The three are Salvador Javier, Jose Gregorio and Joel Gustavo.

A forensic probe by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reveals that the trio was not authorised by the elections management body but got access to the servers five months before the polls.

The Venezuelan trio was apprehended in late July after landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and were in possession of several gadgets and their peripherals among them computers and flash disks.
The analysis, of the computers confiscated from them, indicated that the Venezuelans were among dozens of non-IEBC staff who would extensively access the commission's servers.
However, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati chipped in defending the trio; he said they were contracted by the commission to deploy the technology to be used in the polls.
Chebukati had also assured that the IEBC’s systems were impenetrable and that it is only accredited employees who would have access to it.
The DCI forensic audit however found out that the trio was not part of the IEBC staff as earlier stated by the chairman.
The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party now wants the DCI evidence to be tabled at the apex court.

Azimio Calls Off 7-Day Vigil at Supreme Court: “Follow from Home”
The publication delved into the widening cracks in IEBC as its seniors file separate affidavits in response to the presidential election petition.
The faction led by Wafula Chebukati wants the Supreme Court to throw out the election petition stating that it conducted a free and fair exercise on August 9.
On the other hand, the team led by vice chair Juliana Cherera wants the presidential results to be nullified citing electoral irregularities.
The Cherera team has also recommended a forensic audit into IEBC systems to bring to light the alleged shady happenings in the backend.
As the publication reports, Azimio secretariat board chief executive Raphael Tuju dismissed claims by Chebukati and commissioner Abdi Guliye that he promised them rewards if they were to declare Raila Odinga as the winner of the presidential vote.
The outgoing Cabinet Secretary without a portfolio said he only sought an audience with the IEBC boss after he got intelligence that some people were replacing forms 34A.

He said he was at Bomas of Kenya several times seeking an explanation of the aforementioned issue.
Further in his address, Tuju turned the heat on Chebukati saying the IEBC boss requested they meet privately before announcing the presidential results.
The former Rarieda MP, in turn, challenged the chair to disclose the contents of their secret meeting.
Tuju also claimed he secretly met IEBC commissioners Boya Mulu and Guliye at his Karen house.

In their replying affidavits to the petition, the Chebukati team had claimed Tuju sought to have the presidential results moderated in favour of Raila, failure to which the country would be plunged into chaos.
The publication reported on the happenings in Kakamega, Mombasa and other areas elections are being held today, August 29.
The governorship elections in the aforementioned counties were postponed not to take place on August 9 owing to a mixup in the printing of the ballot papers.
The polls were to be held on August 23 but would again be put off to August 9 due to security concerns of the IEBC staff.
In a press statement on Wednesday, August 17, Chebukati said the continued harassment of the commission's staff had contributed to the postponement of by-elections in the said counties.

The Swahili publication spotlighted President Uhuru Kenyatta's dilemma as his deputy William Ruto stares at the presidency despite the petition challenging his win.
Uhuru was opposed to Ruto's candidature and thus rallied behind Azimio's Raila Odinga.
The different turns of events in the vote tend to leave him with an egg on the face given the kind of support and backing he accorded Raila.
