Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Church has disclosed that the holy handkerchiefs and living water he sells at his events have special healing powers.
In an interview with Daily Nation, the man of God indicated that the items have so far helped more than 5,000 people.
Pst Ezekiel added that he prefers to pray over the handkerchiefs and water reach as many needy people as possible than spend the same time attending a church member's burial.

To prevent duplication of the water and handkerchiefs which are each sold at KSh 100, the clergyman puts special watermarks.
There have been questions raised over the fact that he sells the items, which comes out as exploitation of the needy for financial gain.
Pst Ezekiel maintained that the water and handkerchiefs have healing powers “to those who have faith" because he prays for them before they are sold to the buyers.

He defended his decision to sell the items, saying that he spends to buy and watermark them, and proceeds from the sales go to running the church affairs like paying water and electricity bills.
Pst Ezekiel started his preaching in Majaoni, Mombasa County for more than 15 years before settling on a six-and-a-half acre parcel of land in Mavueni where he built a sanctuary.
At the moment, the hall is one of the biggest in Kenya and boasts a sitting capacity of over 40,000 people.
He disclosed that while planning the Karasani rally that made him a subject of discussion, he was helped to secure the venue by Mrs Dorcas Rigathi, the wife of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

When asked about how me managed to pull one of the biggest crowds witnessed at the sports center, the clergyman reiterated that the people were brought by Jesus.
According to the pastor, no human has the power to achieve such a feat, and that the over 60,000 people who attended came to see what Jesus has been doing through him.
This follows a recent crusade at Kasarani where he filled up Kasarani, a feat that even seasoned politicians do not achieve easily.
