Kunle Afolayan's movies ‘Swallow’ and ‘Man of God’ lead AMAA awards nominations – Businessday

Kunle Afolayan-directed movie, “Swallow” and Netflix original “Man of God” produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters have led nominations for 2022 Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA).
The two movies bagged nine nominations each to top the list.
Organisers of the annual award, which celebrates excellence in Africa’s movie industry, unveiled the nominees on Wednesday.
‘Jolly Roger’, the movie by Walter Waltbanger Taylaur, came third on the list with seven nominations.
Nse Ikpe-Etim and Ijeoma Grace Agu are also up for the ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ category.
