Nancy Crampton Brophy was, a few days ago, sentenced after being found guilty of killing her husband Daniel Brophy for a life insurance pay-out.
The 71-year-old woman who is a romance author is said to have shot her husband, a teacher in June 2018.
Though the judge had ruled against using her essay as evidence, the prosecution managed to prove to the jury that she had the motive and means to murder her husband.
