This newspaper looks at some of the promises that Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has been making as he campaigns for his presidential bid.
Though an unfamiliar figure in Kenya's politics, the lawyer and ex-police officer's popularity has been rising steadily in recent days owing to the radical promises on which his presidential campaigns are premised.

According to this publication, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is once again gaining a foothold in his Ukambani stronghold weeks after rejoining the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
Despite being a latecomer in Azimio campaigns, Kalonzo is hellbent on delivering the more than one million Ukambani votes in the Azimio basket.

Nancy Crampton Brophy was, a few days ago, sentenced after being found guilty of killing her husband Daniel Brophy for a life insurance pay-out.
The 71-year-old woman who is a romance author is said to have shot her husband, a teacher in June 2018.
Though the judge had ruled against using her essay as evidence, the prosecution managed to prove to the jury that she had the motive and means to murder her husband.

According to the Star, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has said William Ruto's rigging claims are signs of defeat.
Speaking on Tuesday, June 14, the ODM leader said Ruto was in a panic because his Azimio movement was already overshadowing the Kenya Kwanza.
During the Ukambani tour, Raila urged locals to support him as they had done in the previous elections and even promised to bring them water should he win the presidency.

Starting today, Wednesday, June 15, the prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene will increase to KSh 159.12 per litre, KSh 140 and 127.94, respectively.
