The dailies also covered President William Ruto's maiden foreign trip since taking power as his deputy Rigathi Gachagua took over the leadership of the country in an acting capacity.
The Swahili newspaper projected a crisis in the Kenya Kwanza political faction, which formed the fifth administration of post-independent Kenya.
The coalition is stewarded by President William Ruto of the UDA party, alongside ANC's Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula of Ford Kenya.

Others include Alfred Mutua (Maendeleo Chap Chap), Moses Kuria (Chama Cha Kazi), and Amason Kingi (PAA).
The UDA party now appears to be positioning itself for the biggest share in the coalition's power-sharing arrangement.

In the two houses of parliament, the political outfit on whose ticket Ruto won the presidency has taken up all leadership positions.
The UDA party has nominated its members for the leader of the majority and their deputy, the chief whip and their deputy.
It is stipulated in the Kenya Kwanza pre-election agreement that the leadership of the houses of parliament would be shared based on the performance of the respective political parties in the elections.
In the August 9 polls, the UDA party secured 119 MPs, 6 from ANC and Ford Kenya securing 5.
The ANC leader and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are also jostling for the influential ministries in the executive, the National Treasury, Interior and Agriculture dockets.
The daily reported on the deputy president taking over the country as his boss flies out on an official visit.
On Sunday, September 19, Ruto flew out of the country on his maiden foreign trip since his inauguration as Kenya's fifth head of state.

During the three-day trip, the president will visit the United Kingdom and later the United States, where he is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with world leaders.
In his absentia, according to the 2010 Constitution power hierarchy, Ruto's principal assistant, Gachagua, will be in charge of the country.
However, the deputy president said he is in touch with his boss, and despite him being miles away, his presence is still felt.
The publication highlighted the maiden foreign trip of Ruto since taking power less than a week ago.
The president landed in the United Kingdom on Sunday, September 18.
He joined other world dignitaries who are in the European nation to grace the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
While in the UK, Ruto is expected to be hosted for dinner by King Charles III, during which they will be discussing ways of improving bilateral relations between the two countries

Later, the president will head to the United States, where he is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with world leaders.
He is expected to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
After the address, Ruto will meet the American chamber of commerce captains.
There seems to be disquiet in the Azimio La Umoja camp as a section of members protest the proposed leadership of the coalition in the National Assembly.
The latest to cry foul is nominated MP John Mbadi.
He protested the nomination of Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi as the majority leader at the National Assembly as the faction claims majority status like Kenya Kwanza.
During its PG meeting held Saturday, September 17, Azimio unveiled Wandayi to lead its legislative agenda in the National Assembly in the position of the ML.
Wandayi's nomination, however, did not go down well with Mbadi, who served as the minority leader in the 12th Parliament.

According to Mbadi, the coalition was unfair in the decision it reached.
He noted that his being a nominated MP is not an excuse for being denied the post, saying it is the party that implored him to step down from the Homa Bay gubernatorial race in the August polls.
The publication reported on the new leadership of the Council of Governors (CoG).
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru is the new CoG chairperson after being elected by fellow county chief executives on Saturday, September 17.
He trounced her Kajiado counterpart Joseph Ole Lenku.
Waiguru, elected governor for the second term on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket, will be deputised by Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi.

Kajiado deputy governor Martin Moshisho was elected deputy governors chairman.
Waiguru becomes the first female governor to occupy the coveted seat.
CoG came into place in 2013 when devolution was first rolled as per the 2010 Constitution.
Its pioneer chairperson was Isaac Rutto, the first governor of Bomet county.
After his tenure, he was succeeded by Peter Munya, then of Meru county.
To succeed Munya after his tenure would be Josphat Nanok, then Turkana governor.
He was succeeded by Kakamega'a Wycliffe Oparanya, who passed on the baton to Embu's Martin Wambora.
After Wambora now comes Waiguru.
