One of the affidavits sworn in favour of the petition is the one by John Githongo, which points to Ruto's digital strategist Dennis Itumbi as the big cheese of the team that interfered with the polls.
John Githongo, in his 22-page affidavit, points to Dennis Itumbi as the mastermind of the alleged schemes to bungle the 2022 presidential vote.
According to Githongo, Itumbi oversaw a team of hackers who got access to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) public portal, where they fed in fake figures in favour of the president-elect.

The anti-graft champion said an informer confided in him that Itumbi was one of the 10 supervisors charged with manipulating the original forms 34A before keying into the portal the doctored figures.

In his defence, Itumbi termed Githongo's claims as lies, adding that he would challenge them in the Supreme Court.
The daily also spared space for the details in Githongo's affidavit.

Kenyans were taken aback by the evidence which shows forms 34A were manipulated in Ruto's favour.
Githongo, in court papers, alleged that he had information from a whistleblower that a 56-man team obtained forms 34A from KIEMS kits, edited them in Ruto's favour, and uploaded them to the IEBC portal.
He claimed that according to the whistleblower, the team of 56 had 10 supervisors.
Githongo alleged that the team's goal was to inflate the numbers in favour of Ruto in areas that experienced low voter turnout.
Still on the presidential election petition, the Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has identified the four counties his votes were allegedly stolen and added to Ruto.

According to Raila, Meru, Nyeri, Bomet and Kiambu counties were the epicentres of rigging leading to his loss in the vote.
In Bomet, as indicated in his petition, 1,101 from 19 polling stations were deducted from him and added to Ruto.
In Kiambu county, 1,227 votes from 14 polling stations were deducted from Raila and added to Ruto.
The petition hearing is yet to begin as the petitioners serve the mentioned correspondents with the suit.
The publication spotlighted Ruto's charm offensive which has continued to rob Azimio of its luminaries.
The latest to be netted to the president-elect's side was the outgoing Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana
Kibwana, who was accompanied by other leaders, was received by Ruto at his official Karen residence in Nairobi on Tuesday, August 23.
While making the announcement, the president-elect said Kibwana will join his legal team in the ongoing presidential petition filed by Raila.

Before joining Kenya Kwanza, the professor was among the key leaders in Azimio.
Notably, in the August 9 General Election, Kibwana unsuccessfully contested the Makueni senatorial seat.
He lost to lawyer Dan Maanzo.
The Swahili newspaper reports that the presidential petition filed by Azimio would prolong President Uhuru Kenyatta's stay in office as the apex court carries out its hearing.
However, the president has been stripped of some powers as his tenure was to end with the IEBC's declaration of the president-elect.
During the transition, Uhuru cannot;
