The Daily Nation reports on the aftermath of the disbandment of the perceived killer squad Special Service Unit, whose members are now undergoing intense grilling over the abduction of two Indians and their Kenyan driver.
The officers of the dismantled squad have been spending their last two days recording statements at the Internal Affairs Unit, explaining where they were on the day that the foreign nationals were abducted on July 26, 2022.

The chairpersons of the two committees will co-chair the joint sittings, with the quorum of the joint sitting being the respective quorum of the respective committees.
Preparations are in high gear for Mashujaa Day celebrations which are set to be held at Uhuru Gardens tomorrow, Thursday, October 20.
Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho said 22,000 guests have been invited to join the country in marking the fete, which will be presided over by President William Ruto.
The PS said the venue will be opened by 4 am for the public to allow enough time for security checks.
Kibicho also said the airspace will be temporarily closed on the day of the celebrations.
The People Daily reports on former Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa's session with the National Assembly vetting committee, where she broke down, recounting her tough childhood.
The former lawmaker, who is the Cabinet Secretary nominee for Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action, struggled to contain her tears as she detailed how her poor parents struggled to raise her and 27 siblings.
