Until last week, retired president Uhuru Kenyatta had disappeared from the limelight after handing over the instruments of power to his former estranged deputy, President William Ruto.
After he was spotted in Narok on two separate occasions last week, Kenyans started speculating that Uhuru will opt to spend his retirement in his Narok home.
His luxurious home, which he reportedly bought in 2020, overlooks the Mara Conservancy, and the scenery could be the reason Uhuru is tempted to spend his civilian life in Narok.

Here are some of the retirement homes that the former head of state owns:
It was widely speculated that the former head of state would retreat to his rural Ichaweri home in Gatundu South, Kiambu, for his retirement.
A few years ago, the road leading to the multi-million property was seen being tarmacked, fuelling assumptions the ex-head of state was preparing for his life after the presidency.
The Kenyatta Ichaweri's home also forms a rich part of Kenya's history as Kenya's first president Jomo Kenyatta resided in it.
Uhuru also owns a mansion in Nakuru, which sits at the centre of his 4000-acre tract.

He has been previously spotted relaxing at the Gicheha farm with his cattle and workers.
Should he choose to spend his retirement in Nakuru, he will be in proximity to his long-time family friends, the Mois, whose Kabarak home is next to his.
Facing the beautiful Mara Triangle's scenery is Uhuru's 1,000-acre farm in Oloolmongi, Trans Mara, in Narok county.
The picturesque triangle is part of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, and Uhuru will thus relish a view of the variety of wildlife in the section from the comfort of his house should he live here.
Going by his recent visits to Narok, it seems the former Kenyan ruler will most likely choose to spend his days in his Narok home.
Uhuru also owns an exquisite home in Nairobi county.
Reports indicated the KSh 700 million state-of-the-art mansion is located along the Dennis Pritt road and is reportedly highly secured with bulletproof windows.
