Embu businessman is nursing serious wounds after being shot by gangsters while returning home from his job.
Geoffrey Mwangi was attacked by five suspected thugs in a pickup going home from Embu town at around 9 pm on Monday, September 19.
The suspect allegedly blocked the businessman's car before spraying it with bullets, leaving him with serious injuries on his neck and hands.
According to the Daily Nation, after committing the heinous act, the criminals disappeared, leaving Mwangi unconscious in his car before being rushed to Embu Referral Hospital.

However, his friend who was with him in the car during the attack escaped unhurt.
The businessman was later transferred to Nairobi for special treatment after his condition worsened.
Embu West sub-county police boss Julius Kyumbule said they have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Kanyi Maina traders in the town condemned the attack, calling on the security team to fasten investigations into the incident.
Maina lamented over an increase in insecurity cases in the areas accusing police of relaxing at work.
Embu branch of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, John Mate called on security to beef up in the region.

He said that investors might be forced to flee the place if the situation is not contained.
In a separate story, TUKO.co.ke, reported that Denis Mbae died after his vehicle was sprayed with bullets by unknown people in the Bonanza area, Embu town.
Mbae was killed just about 250 metres from his home in the Dallas estate, and nothing was stolen from him or his car.
The businessman passed on while receiving first aid at Embu level 5 hospital, where he was rushed after being shot.
